Short summers require, herbs that grow in Iceland, absorb energy and nutrients in a shorter period of time. They have to survive sub-zero temperatures, which means they have special protective properties to survive from freezing. Herbs in the harsh Icelandic climate are smaller and, therefore, more powerful, offering natural healing properties. It is known that Icelandic people have used wild herbs for centuries for all sorts of healing purposes.
